Faith in Elderly People (FIEP) was founded in 1992 as an offshoot of Faith in Leeds. We seek to improve the quality of life of older people in Leeds, including the nurture of their spiritual lives, and to raise awareness of the value of older people and the gifts they have to share.

What can we offer?
- Organise conferences, seminars, workshops.
- Produce publications, memory/reminiscence boxes, videos and other resources.
- Train local clergy, health authority and nursing home staff.
- Network with other similar agencies – Christian Council on Ageing, Methodist Homes, Age UK, Social Services, etc.
- Give talks to a range of groups, secular and church-based.
- Influence public policy.
What do we do?
Meet with groups of older people to discover their views and opinions.
Come to your church and lead a discussion on the needs and contributions of older people.
Visit your nursing or residential home and discuss how spiritual care can be integrated into existing care guidelines.
Discuss with carers.
